When people get sick or suffer an injury, they go to the doctor, describe their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With pets, it’s not always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they can’t always alert us when something is bothering them.
What’s more, many animals are very good at hiding the signs of illness, allowing it to develop and worsen undetected.
Veterinary diagnostics allow us to identify and treat health problems in a timely manner. Faster diagnosis of illness and injury can significantly improve the chances of a positive outcome.
The on-site diagnostic laboratory at Northeastern Veterinary Care Center makes it quick and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have the answers we need in just minutes. This means we can have a treatment strategy in place before you and your pet even leave the exam room.
When a physical exam and lab testing aren’t enough to reach a diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, including x-rays and ultrasound. These tools enable us to evaluate the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.
Digital images can be analyzed by our doctors in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.
If your pet has been acting a bit out of sorts lately, don’t take chances. Reach out to the experienced professionals at Northeastern Veterinary Care Center right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health again.

Dr. Beal and staff take excellent care of Tucker.Posted on Google Shelly ButlerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I never hesitate to bring any of my 3 cats and 2 dogs to Dr. Beal at Northeastern Veterinary Care Center. Last week we had our beagle mix’s teeth cleaned and she had a cavity. They called me before they did the work to remove it and asked if I wanted the work done. No unexpected bills with them! I always know what is going on. Of course I had the tooth pulled and my girl is recovering at home. Dr. Beal is the most thorough vet I have ever been to.Posted on Google David LevineTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brought our cats in for an annual checkup after moving to the area. Got great care and attention to detail from the entire staff. Follow up phone call to check for any reactions to vaccines, and two cats who were about as happy as a cat can be at a checkup.Posted on Google William SpencerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t speak highly enough of Doctor Beal and the entire NEVCC team. The loving care they give my dogs Freddie and Goose can’t be beat. There is no one who I trust more with my beloved furry friends’ care.Posted on Google Kathleen LaurieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent care from entire teamPosted on Google Emily TorsneyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been bringing my animals to Dr. Beal and the team at NEVCC for the past 5 years, and I truly cannot recommend them highly enough. Dr. Beal has been there for us through everything, from routine new puppy visits to managing our geriatric dog’s health, and on more than one occasion she has quite literally saved our dogs’ lives (I cannot make up these stories!). In emergent situations, the clinic management team has always gone above and beyond to get us scheduled quickly, make recommendations on when to seek emergency care at OSVS or Pieper, and ensure our pets receive the care they need. The entire team at NEVCC deserves recognition as well. From the technicians to the front desk staff, everyone is kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of both the animals and their owners. One thing that always stands out is something Dr. Beal often says: “What would I do if this were my pet?” She genuinely lives by that philosophy. Every patient is treated with the same care, thoughtfulness, and advocacy that she would give her own animals. In fact, Dr. Beal is the person who inspired me to pursue veterinary medicine myself. As a current student at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, I’ve been exposed to gold-standard medicine, numerous clinicians, and many veterinary hospitals. Through that experience, I can confidently say that Dr. Beal practices exceptional, up-to-date medicine and truly prioritizes her patients’ well-being. There is no one I trust more with the care of my animals and Dr. Beal will always be their primary clinician. If you’re looking for a veterinarian who is compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to her patients, Dr. Beal and the NEVCC team are simply the best.Posted on Google Logan MarsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot say enough positive things about this practice and their dedicated team. We have been taking our animals (two dogs and a cat) to Dr. Beal and her team for 4 years now. They’ve seen us through everything from an emergent colonic torsion, foreign body removals, dental visits, cancer screenings, to basic routine check ups and maintenance care. No matter what we’re there for, the team at NVCC has always taken the best care of our family, giving excellent specialist recommendations and at-home recovery care instructions. I would strongly recommend this practice.Posted on Google francheska estradaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Beal was extraordinary with us. We had an emergency with our dog, and we were seen right away. From the moment we walked in, the doctor and her team treated us with so much kindness, love, and respect. Dr. Beal was very honest and compassionate when explaining our dog’s condition. She had been with us for 16 years, and Dr. Beal gave us the time we needed to think and explained our options with clarity and care. Today we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl, and once again we were met with understanding and support. Thank you for practicing your profession with true love for animals, not for money.
